Born and raised in San Bruno, California, Mark is a 21 year old artist who strives to one day create his own animated series based on a comic he’s currently writing. Since he was 11, he’s dedicated his life to artwork, inspired by film directors like Akira Kurosawa and Stanley Kubrick, along with animation icons like Hayao Miyazaki and Brad Bird. His favorite movie is Princess Mononoke, his favorite food is Oreo ice cream, and his favorite band is Black Sabbath.

In 2021, he created Beyond Drawings, a YouTube Channel dedicated to commentary on animated films, shows, or other news. He uses an animated persona of himself to bring his personality to life, engaging audiences, and bringing in new viewers ever day. From his experience in Berkeley’s film club, CAP Club, to his independent animation works, he has full technical understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite, allowing him to edit any image in Photoshop, rig any model in After Effects, or create animation from the ground-up in Animate or Clip Studio Paint.
